At the Lake

Recently we visited friends at their beautiful home on Lake Norman, about a one hour drive south near Charlotte. Pam and I first met over 20 years ago when we both moved to the same neighborhood here at the same time. What's funny is that we both moved from Houston. Now we may go months without any contact but we still manage to stay in touch several times a year.

This particular Sunday we rode on the lake on her jet ski which was a blast. I noticed lots of people tubing and that looked like fun too. Many years ago I used to water ski and loved it so much. I would like to try it again one of these days. Actually, I think I know someone who could water ski barefooted. I was never that good.

Don't think I'd be able to even get up on skis (sp??) anymore...will I have to get up on them when we windsurf?

No, I think the boat pulling us and the wind do all the work. We just relax and enjoy the ride. I look forward to this adventure - the cameras will have a field day with this view!
