Red, White, Blue and Gold

Today outside the high was 72 degrees. Tomorrow the high is forecast to be 57.

Because I took the afternoon off from work and was home, I stood on my front porch and snapped this photo of the golden leaved oak tree in our front yard.

We put our flag out this weekend in celebration of Veterans Day. I will bring it in tonight and it will stay rolled up in the closet until - oh, probably sometime in 2008. The golden leaves will be gone soon because the fall season is about to come to an end.

Those of you who were here last year for the Bostic wedding can vouch for how beautiful our state can be in the fall of the year.

Life is so good.

Gosh those leaves are so pretty. Many of our trees are turning as well. Our high was 80 today with the high tomorrow in the low 60s.
Sounds like we're having about the same weather. Hope the rain forecast for Atlanta comes your way. (The gov. sure knew who to ask on this one)

I was a little off on that temp for today. Right now it's 45, windy and cold. I can tell winter is near 'cause my skin is dry and 'itchen. Yikes! I sound like a senior citizen. Oh, wait, maybe that's what I am! I did get a Sr. citizen discount at Kohl's yesterday and they didn't even ask me. Ha! With Tim using the walker and me shivering, it's no wonder...

What do you mean Sr. discount!?!?
Here it's 62 and they check ID.
They must have felt sorry for you two.

Yes, I felt very old yesterday and thus looked it.

Actually I think we would qualify for a handicapped parking tag but we won't do that. Honestly, I've never appreciated handicapped ramps, automatic doors, etc. until now. And people go out of their way to help. We are seeing all this with a whole new perspective.
