I can't remember this picture being taken or the dog. Peggy had commented in a previous post asking if we had had a dog named Candy. Is this Candy Barr? And do you think the dog is a Boxer? The picture was not dated but I would guess 1958-59. Notice also the glove on Dad's left hand. What do you think he's up to? I have to laugh at the hair (on me). When I am desperate for a hair cut, I still have the bulky right side and deep waves that show up when my hair is the pictured length.

Doggone It
I can't remember this picture being taken or the dog. Peggy had commented in a previous post asking if we had had a dog named Candy. Is this Candy Barr? And do you think the dog is a Boxer? The picture was not dated but I would guess 1958-59. Notice also the glove on Dad's left hand. What do you think he's up to? I have to laugh at the hair (on me). When I am desperate for a hair cut, I still have the bulky right side and deep waves that show up when my hair is the pictured length.

I suspect that Dad had been working in the yard. He always wore gloves when he worked in the yard. Don't remember that dog and it does look like a Boxer to me, too.
This dog isn't Candy. I faintly recall that Candy was a brown and white beagle looking dog. And that she had puppies while living with us. I don't remember a boxer. What a cute picture!
I don't remember us ever having a dog like the one in the picture.
Maybe this dog was a visitor and the person taking the picture was its owner. I can't remember Candy and wanted to see if this was her. Peg, do you know if we all there (Tom, Jerry, me) when she was?
If John doesn't remember Candy, then no one will. Maybe I'm just dreaming?? You're right about the dog in the picture - he must have been a visitor.
I remember the dog - he was our's, he was a boxer and his name was "DUKE".
