Here is the second best thing that happened to me during this College Bowl season. The Buffaloes came to town to play the Crimson Tide and I went to a pep rally the night before the game to get my picture with "Ralphie". Our newspaper said she has Rock Star status up in Boulder, so I had to go see her. When she led the team on the field, I was yelling for her the whole time, much to the embarrassment of my kids. This was her last game as she is retiring after 10 years.

John, good picture of you with Ralphie. I went to a CU gave against Nebraska back in the 70's in Boulder. During halftime, the Nebraska cheerleaders we making fun of Ralphie - one was on his hands and the other two had each leg and were acting like they were running "Ralphie" along the Nebraska sidelines. Well, when CU came out for the 2nd half, the Ralphie handlers led her up the side where the Nebraska cheerleaders were and you should have seen them (the cheerleaders) scramble up the side of the stadium walls to get out of her way - the CU fans went crazy.
John, how did you manage to get up close & personal with Ralphie? Were there others waiting for a photo op? Embarrassing your children is a right of every parent. I've done it many times. Great picture!
Hey Peggy, they set up a portable corral for her and let you get your picture with her. I was first in line and there were plenty of "fans" behind me.
