This is the view from my kitchen window just above the sink; and it is one of my pet delights!
Pet delights you ask? What is this all about? Well, last week my favorite metro columnist for the Dallas Morning News wrote this article about "pet delights". As you can see from the article, these pet delights are the opposite of pet peeves. (I think Steve must have read one of Peggy's previous posts about stuff she loves and it made him remember his pet delights.) Anyway, it got me to thinking about pet delights in my life and here are just a few.
- Being able to view the colors of fall as I work in the kitchen--this window faces west and I've also experienced beautiful sunsets as I cook supper
- Jacob reading me a story
- Lighting a candle in the early morning and reading the Bible
- Listening to Pavarotti and Eric Clapton sing Holy Mother
- Witnessing my children lead productive Christian lives
These are just a few of the delights in my life. I bet you could name several off the top of your head right now. Let me know a couple of yours.

A very nice picture of the view from your kitchen window.
Ironically I was just about to write a post about one of my pet peeves but this is a much better idea.
My pet delights:
-When I tell my husband something and he replies "I was just thinking the exact same thing".
-Visiting my daughter's office and she introduces me to her coworkers.
-A son who dedicates his graduate thesis to his parents.
-Seeing the neighbor cat "Blackie" sitting on my driveway as I drive up - waiting for me to pet him.
And there are so many other things too...
