Yesterday we made a day trip to visit Melanie so we could view one of her art pieces hanging at a gallery in downtown Raleigh.
Her artwork is displayed at the Visual Art Exchange Gallery.
Her portrait of Sydney in the lower left is hanging among other pet artwork by other area artists.
I also picked up the portrait of Sonny which I had commissioned from Melanie. I was thrilled with the finished painting. I still miss our family cat. Now I will have to find the perfect place to hang it.

Thanks Mom! It was great that you, Dad and Will came down to see Sydney. Glad you like Sonny. I think you should get another orange tabby to honor him :)
