Today is the first winter weather "event" for our area. Our dogwoods are icy but they don't mind a bit. They'll blossom beautifully come spring.Look here to read my friend's very humorous account of local citizen reactions to weather such as this.

Jane's post describes exactly what happens when the FRISS appears in Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding areas. All t.v. programming is put on hold so we can watch 24 hr. news coverage of the Metroplex's 1 inch of ice or snow! People get so bored watching this constant coverage they actually resort to reading a book.
I bet Jerry could post a picture of real FRISS conditions.
