Moon and pencil art

Thanks to an email from Chris, I made a point of going outside tonight to view the fullest moon seen in a long time. It was quite fantastic. I knew my little amateur Coolpix could not possibly do this justice by way of a decent image but I sure had fun trying.

Standing in the front yard here's the shot just bare bones.

After uploading I played around with a photo editing program. I ran the image through a filter called "colored pencils". Click to enlarge and you'll understand the pencil thing. I like how it turned out even though it's a little weird. So, fun on Friday night....
